Fall Fashion Begins

Not only do I enjoy the cold weather, hot chocolate, and sports, but I enjoy the fashion! Fall gives you a chance to be creative with clothing! Tons of beautiful colors and layers to put together! I feel at my best when I wear fall fashion.

Half Way Across the Country

After 4 years of marraige this is the first time Roger and I have been away from each other for more than a day. Even though it was only for 4 days, it is still hard. I'm trying to keep busy with family and friends by my side. Somehow I still feel an emptiness inside me. I miss him; making me laugh, making me feel good about myself. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to experience our first plane ride together. All in all I'm so happy at least one of us got to experience it. This seperation has made me realize how much I truly love him!!!!! I respect military families more now than ever because they have to deal with this all the time. Lord knows I would go crazy. As I write this, we have one more day until we are in our cozy home cuddling with are annoying yet precious pup. "Distance makes the Heart grow fonder" couldn't be more right!

Adventures

So the husband and I took some photos of one of the cutest babies ever! I would like to take all the credit, but Roger was responsible for 85% of the camera handling. It was nice to get out of the house and hang out with people. We had so much fun that I'm still considering doing this as a hobby. Of course I won't charge anyone....yet ;) But any ways, here is a preview of the work we did down town Abilene with baby Isaiah. Enjoy!

Meet Oliver...

I know I haven't updated in awhile......I really don't know why. I guess because I haven't started or finished anymore projects. My two only followers have encouraged me to update my blog again. I agreed, and the first topic that came to my head was my lovely son.....Oliver. He's half Rat Terrier and Chihuahua. He was given to me on May of 2008. I love him so much because he is the most unique pet I have ever raised. He's also the friendliest, I know he would never hurt a fly. I know this post isn't a lot, but at least it's something.

Here is Oliver when he was a baby and what he looks like now :) I'm so proud of him!

Main Step Accomplished...

So here it is.
The basic stitch. I've finally completed it! I made sure I performed it over and over until I was comfortable with it. The scarf took at least a week....but only because I kept missing up. Although as soon as I got it down, I finished it so fast. My next goal for next week, the Purl stitch!

All Becaus of You...

This is my "Bible" for the time being. My husband was nice enough to buy if for me one day while we were browsing at Books A Million. He probably thought he was making a big mistake, because if you know me as much as he does then you know I never complete anything. We both agree that I am suffering from ADD...it Sucks! He should be happy to know that I have not put this book down. I am so excited to learn every stitch the book has to offer. Thanks Love!

Introduction

Hello, let me start out by introducing myself. I go by the name Raquel. I'm 26 years old and I live in a semi-small town in west Texas. I love Texas! I'm happily married to my best friend for a little over a year now :) I was introduced to crocheting about 7 months ago, ever since then I've been in love with yarn. About 2 weeks ago I introduced myself to knitting. I was amazed at all the patterns knitting could create. I made a promise to myself that I would be the best knitter I could be......so I'm slowly teaching myself this wonderful creation! This is what my journey is all about. I want you to be with me at the beginning and till the end. I'll try not to screw it up :/
